Do you want to have some fun!!
And help your community and those less fortunate than yourself at the same time?
In reality, fundraising takes up less than 10% of Round Table activities, but it is great fun, as well as personally rewarding. Round Table members get to use their imagination to bring a smile to those who really do need and appreciate a little help now and then!
We've been jet biking, go-karting, dry slope skiing, we've played 5-a-side football, golf, cricket, gone on bike rides and weekends away as well as organising the annual Dursley bonfire & Fireworks display and the Christmas Float with Santa
The pictures left and right were taken at the National Sporting weekend event.
Tablers get together from all over Great Britain to have some fun and take part in a whole variety of sporting events.
Here in Dursley & District (taking in Uley, Cam, Berkley etc) we meet twice a month, participating in a whole range of great activities, open to 'young men'!, from the ages of 18 to 45.
In addition to the sport, brewerly visits, speaker meetings etc., we engage in community events such as the Dursley Bonfire Night and taking Santa's float around in the run up to Xmas.
As well as serving the community, these events raise money, which we can then use to support local organisations and charities throughout the year.
If you are one of those organisations, and are looking for support right now, just fill in the application on the 'Support Page', or email the secretary, Clive Allen at clive.allen66@btopenworld.com and your request will be considered for approval at our very next full meeting.
Or, if YOU are a 'young man' between the ages of 18 and 45 and are interested in having a good time and meeting new people, then why not get in touch, by emailing, Rory McMahon at mrory55@yahoo.co.uk, and we'll invite you along to our next event.
Best regards
Chairman
